Like any charity, Polka relies on fundraising to provide its year round programme of world-class theatre, inspiring education work and run its family friendly building. Each year Polka has to raise over £200,000 to make all this happen. With your support Polka will continue to enable 90,000 people each year to experience the magic of theatre.

Set in the heart of Wimbledon, Polka is a truly special venue, attracting audiences from across London and further afield. As well as great shows, Polka runs workshops, youth theatres, education projects and new writing programmes. Polka has been creating theatre for over forty years and is committed to making theatre for children and young people, which is challenging, contemporary and of the highest quality. Our supporters – individuals, trusts, foundations and companies enable this work to happen. Our members are vital to the continuing life and welfare of Polka. Their involvement and support gives them the opportunity to truly become part of the Polka family. Why not join too!

As a registered charity, Polka must find £1.5 million every year. Most of our income comes from ticket sales and grants from public bodies. However, Polka still must find a further £200,000 a year to ensure it can continue to provide wonderful experiences for everyone.
We need you to make it happen...

Polka Theatre is core funded by Arts Council England, London Councils and Merton Council.
As always, Polka could not continue without the generous support of the many Trusts, Foundations, Companies and Individuals who help to enable us to provide high quality, innovative and accessible theatre and education activities for as many young people as possible, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of these very special people.
'Polka is special because it introduces children to the wonder of theatre in imaginative and enchanting ways. I wish Polka had been in existence when I was young.’
Sir Alan Ayckbourn
