During these weekly drama sessions, children will explore acting and performance skills in a safe and friendly environment. Children will learn to have fun with improvisation and role-play, as well as discovering new characterisation and movement exercises. The group will create their own stories, devise group performances and develop a wide range of theatre techniques along the way.

Achieve an Arts Award in Polka’s Act 2 Club this upcoming Spring Term 2024 while taking part in your weekly drama club. 

Polka are offering all children in Act 2 to join us on an Arts Award adventure!  

For those wanting to take the award, no extra time or resource will be needed.  Everything will be included during their usual Act 2 sessions where they will enjoy discovering a wide range of arts from theatre skills, movement and more.  

Those children taking part in Act 2 can sign up to participate in the Discover Arts Award, recording what they discover on their creative journey with us in their Polka Arts Award Log. Here they will write, draw and record their own unique and exciting experiences. This will be checked throughout the term and marked at the end by our accredited Arts Award adviser.  

Our team of professional theatre facilitators, storytellers and our Arts Award adviser will guide the children on an exciting Arts Award journey with us, where they will all receive their very own certificate on completion of the course. 

This additional opportunity will only cost an extra £5 per child and is valid for Spring Term 2024 only!

Discover is the launch-pad for the Arts Award qualifications: Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold. This introductory level is designed for ages 5 and above […] everyone who completes this introductory award receives a certificate from Trinity College London.
