About

Based on Polka’s leading oracy programme, Talking Tales, this CPD day will explore a range of techniques developed in partnership between teachers and artists to support oracy development. Utilising Polka’s Oracy Framework, you’ll discover drama-supported activities that can be embedded into lessons across the curriculum for children from EYFS up to year 6.

We’ll give you the chance to practice, discuss, and work with other teachers to adapt activities to suit the needs of your pupils, giving you practical skills and knowledge to take back to your classroom.

Led by Rachael Black, Talking Tales practitioner and ESOL specialist, this day is aimed at teachers in EYFS to Year 6 across both mainstream and alternative settings. All teachers will be provided with an accompanying resource pack. Teachers need only attend one date.

10am – 3.30pm. Please choose from Monday 11 January or Monday 18 January. Both sessions have the same content.
