Re:Sound | Polka40 Choir

Where community sings…

30 Apr - 6 Jul

Across Merton Ages
5 - 105

As we approach our birthday we asked our audiences what they love most about Polka. The answer was simple. The music. With much-loved classics such as Giraffe the Pelly & Me, Gorilla and The Everywhere Bear, music is at the heart of what we do.

So we’ve decided to start a choir…with a difference!

We’ve teamed up with Merton Music Foundation to launch Re:Sound – Merton’s only intergenerational choir. Whether you’re five or 105* we want you to sing with us and help celebrate our 40th year in style.

Join in and learn four Polka classics, plus be the first to sing an exclusive new commission by Julian Butler at a special performance on 6 July.

Each weekly session will be an opportunity to make new friends, have a cuppa and sing your heart out. The group is open to everyone. There is no need to audition and no need for experience.

It’s fun. It’s free. It’s yours.

*Please note all singers under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult
