We work with children in and out of the classroom to help develop key skills, from literacy and communication to confidence and self-expression.
The following opportunities are aimed at schools that would not otherwise have the resources to access our creative opportunities for their pupils.

Curtain Up!
If you are a school that is unable to visit Polka due to financial or other difficulties, you could receive free theatre tickets for your school, so your pupils to experience theatre for the very first time.

Write Here Write Now
This unique literacy project supports local schools in raising reading and writing skills through drama. Currently available for groups of Year 3 pupils.

Freefalling
Polka’s free youth theatre is for children aged 9 – 16 who are experiencing challenging circumstances at school or at home. Participants build confidence while learning theatre skills and techniques.

Creative Connections
Creative Connections is a fully funded scheme, designed to increase engagement with theatre and storytelling in schools.

Talking Tales
This drama project aims to support Key Stage 1 or 2 teachers to strengthen pupils’ oracy (speaking and listening) skills.
