Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification for children and young people aged 5 – 25 years old. It can be delivered in a number of ways including theatre visits, one-off workshops and after school clubs.

We offer a variety of activities to support children in achieving their Discover and Explore Arts Awards.

Participating schools are supported on their Arts Award journey by our Polka Arts Award adviser, who will act as assessor, facilitator and mentor throughout the process.

For more information please contact our Arts Award Adviser, Heidi.

Artsmark

Artsmark is awarded by Arts Council England to schools committed to high quality arts education.

Polka supports Artsmark certified schools across Merton to ensure arts provision remains of the highest standard.

We support Artsmark schools in a number of ways:

● Support teachers in developing creative curriculum delivery skills

● Create CPD opportunities for teachers

● Deliver creative workshops in the classroom

● Give pupils a first-hand insight to the professional creative world

We help schools help a well-rounded arts provision for KS1 and KS 2 pupils, supporting and upskilling teachers in the process*.

Get in touch to find out more about Artsmark or how we can support your existing arts provision.

*Polka is a registered Artsmark Partner Organisation endorsed by Arts Council England and is qualified to support schools in achieving their Artsmark Award accreditation.
