Access
Polka Theatre is for everyone. We are committed to ensuring Schools Workshops in our venue and in schools are both accessible and inclusive. All of our workshops are tailor-made to suit your group’s learning style and requirements. We collaborate with your school to always ensure the best experience for your class or year group.
This plenty of information and resources on Access at Polka. We have an Access Information Pack and a Welcome Back to Polka Theatre video that is BSL interpreted and audio described. Both can act as a social story for the building and will tell you more about your visit to Polka. If you have any questions about Access, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Arts Award
Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification for children and young people aged 5 – 25 years old. It can be delivered in a number of ways including theatre visits, one-off workshops and after school clubs.
Artsmark
Artsmark is awarded by Arts Council England to schools committed to high quality arts education. Polka supports Artsmark certified schools across Merton to ensure arts provision remains of the highest standard.
Polka is a registered Artsmark Partner Organisation endorsed by Arts Council England and is qualified to support schools in achieving their Artsmark Award accreditation.
