Boy waving with logo - Polka Invites

Polka Invites is a funded programme, which aims to increase access to creative experiences at Polka, for families in our community.

What’s Polka Invites?

Polka Invites has been created to allow us to support new audiences, by offering FREE and subsidised creative opportunities for children and families to enjoy.

Why join?

Taking part in drama activities means your child will develop confidence, communication and concentration skills – all whilst having fun! Their emotional understanding and needs are supported and strengthened.  And family bonds are reinforced through the shared experience of having a good time.

What’s on offer?

A range of FREE and discounted activities, including:

  • Selected performances*
  • Saturday Club – a family event on the first Saturday of each month with storytelling, puppet making, craft activities etc*
  • Take Part - after school and holiday workshops*
  • Discounted drinks in the Café

The theatre has indoor and outdoor play spaces, a buggy park, toilets, a reading corner and dressing up.  All of this is completely free.  Everyone is welcome.

How to get involved?

Polka Invites is an ‘invitation only’/referral scheme. If you would like to apply or find out more, please contact our Community Engagement Manager Fran Chabrel - [email protected] or call her on 07552 808290 .

If your child has any Access needs, please contact Fran. She will be happy to tell you about what we can offer by way of special performances and facilities etc.  We want every child to have the opportunity to enjoy great theatre.

*Please note: all our ticketed activities are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.  The theatre’s play facilities, indoor and out, are free to use at any time with no need to book.
