Pay it Forward

For many children, their only chance to access the arts is thanks to the generosity of people like you.

Can you help Pay It Forward?

By Paying It Forward, you will open the arts to children from all backgrounds. You will give a child their first mind-blowing theatre experience or chance to take part in a workshop. You’ll keep our play spaces free for any child to read, dress up, and express themselves. Thank you for your generosity.

£5 pays for a lunchbox for a child while they attend a free workshop.

£10 pays for a workshop ticket for a child.

£25 pays for a subsidised ticket for a child with additional needs and a companion.

£50 pays for a local family facing challenging circumstances to receive free tickets to a Polka show.

£100 pays for a weekly storytelling workshop using sign language and rhyme for babies/toddlers and their grownups

“We love Polka and I’m so glad that I was able to experience it growing up and my daughter can now experience the magic of it too.”

Parent

“Our children are so connected to Polka now. You have made a whole generation [our school], where there is such poverty and hardship, see themselves as theatre goers. This could never have happened without your support.”

Curtain Up! Teacher

“When we go to the Polka Theatre it’s not just “we’re going to see a show”, it’s we’re going to eat, we’re going to play, we’re going to communicate, we’re going to just have a really lovely time.”

Polka Invites Parent

“Without shows like this our disabled son would miss out on similar experiences that are a given for a non-disabled child.”
