Julian Butler

Julian has written music, lyrics and created sound designs for lots of Polka shows, including The Night Before Christmas, The Wind In the Willows, The Everywhere Bear, The Snow Queen, Beauty and the Beast, Gorilla and many more. Recently, he has written music and lyrics for The Storm Whale (Engine House), Little Angel Theatre’s Miniature Travelling Circus (LAT) and Burglar Bill (Pied Piper). He has written several musicals with Olivier award-winning playwright Mike Kenny including Red Riding Hood and Flat Stanley. Red Riding Hood and his own musical Neverland are now produced regularly in the USA and Canada. He is an artistic associate of A Thousand Cranes and Pied Piper theatre companies and was given an Action for Children’s Arts Members Award in 2016.
