Our welcoming venue is home to a friendly cafe, a garden, playground and a fun-filled foyer with toys, books, dressing up and colouring in.  With something for children all ages it’s a unique place where you can share magical moment with your children.

The Adventure Theatre is a cosy performance space and the perfect place to introduce under 5s to live theatre. Children can sit on the carpet to get close to the action, with additional seating available for adults. The Main Stage is our larger theatre, but still intimate enough to ensure everyone feels close to the magic. Age Policy

Age recommendations: To help you choose a suitable show for your child, please take note of the age recommendation for each performance. This is based on Polka’s detailed knowledge of each production and extensive experience of creating theatre for children. We strongly encourage parents and guardians to follow this age guidance and chose the live experience best suited for your child.

Main Stage Admissions Policy: Unless stated otherwise, children under the age of 4 will only be admitted to All Ages Welcome performances.

All Ages Welcome shows: These performances, available for certain shows on the Main Stage, allow you to bring younger siblings and friends, including babes in arms and toddlers. Please note that these shows are not altered in any way but allow the whole family to see the show together, and that a ticket must be bought for everyone aged over 12 months

Adventure Theatre: This is a more informal space and so you are welcome to bring younger children of all ages, although we do still ask you to take note of the age recommendation for each show. Under 12 months don’t need a ticket unless otherwise stated.

Ticket Information

Main Stage: Please note that the auditorium has flip seating. This may be harder for younger children to use, especially those attending All Ages Welcome performances.

Adventure Theatre: The Adventure Theatre has informal unallocated seating. There is a large carpeted area to sit on and there is also limited bench seating at the side and to the rear of the space. It is not possible to reserve any of the seating options. Should you have specific requirements regarding seating please call to speak to our Box Office staff.

We are happy to reserve tickets for you, however we are unable to do this if it is less than a week before the performance.  We recommend booking in advance, especially for shows in the Adventure Theatre.
