Roman Stefanski

Roman is proud to say that he has been the Associate Director at Polka Theatre for over 40 years, and has helped produce more than 75 plays here at Polka – both for the Main Stage and the Adventure Theatre. He is delighted to have worked with many of the best writers; Charles Way, Mike Kenny, Jacqueline Wilson, Philip Pullman, Michael Mulpergo, Malorie Blackman to name a few. His last production, “The Wind In The Willows”, was the performance that closed Polka launching the £8 million rebuild. Now Roman is delighted to open Polka’s exciting new Adventure Theatre building with “The Night Before Christmas”

Away from Polka Roman has had great pleasure creating and directing various Cbeebies stage productions. “Sarah & Duck” and “Twirlywoos”, are two shows which have toured the UK as well as performing in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Roman also coaches and teaches as well as directs at many drama colleges, which includes ALRA, E15 and Drama Studio London.
